Lawrence S. Bond

Lawrence S. Bond (Larry) is a co-founder and chairman of Bond Companies and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor of business administration degree in real estate and finance. Mr. Bond has been a speaker at such prestigious universities as UCLA, USC and the University of Wisconsin, as well as at numerous real estate conferences including Urban Land Institute, National Association of Home Builders and International Council of Shopping Centers. He has appeared or been featured in dozens of newspapers and real estate magazines discussing his viewpoint on complex real estate transactions. Mr. Bond is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Urban Mixed-Use Development Council, the International Council of Shopping Centers and the University of Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association, and is a member of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Southern California, the Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust, Young Presidents Organization – Malibu Chapter, World Presidents Organization – Angeleno Chapter and is a past board member of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.


In addition, he is the Chief Executive Officer of The Biggest Loser Resorts, a role that he undertook in 2011. Utilizing his years of experience in the field of hospitality and various operating businesses, Larry and his partners teamed up with one of the most storied television networks in NBC to expand one of their top television shows, the Biggest Loser into a physical resort where people could achieve the same outcomes that the contestants on the show were able to achieve.

In his personal life, Larry endeavors to support others in need. He was a co-founder of the Giffoni Hollywood Children's Film Festival along with his wife, Jennifer, Jon Voight, Steven Paul and Will Smith. He also is a Trustee for Alternative Living for the Aging, a non-profit organization assisting seniors living below the poverty line, and was the 2003 recipient of its Annual Achievement Award. He was also honored as the 2006 Platinum Dove Award winner by the Covenant House of California, a non-profit that helps homeless kids obtain basic human needs. Larry also sits on the Executive Council of the Homeland Security Advisory Council, Region One since 2002.



Robert J. Bond

Robert J. Bond is a co-founder and president of Bond Companies. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Master of Science in real estate investment analysis and appraisal theory with a concentration in finance. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and a degree in economics from the same university. Mr. Bond oversees the company's development pipeline. As a thought leader, he has appeared in The Wall Street Journal and Investor Business Daily, as well as several industry periodicals discussing mixed-use development and the retail marketplace. His philosophy focuses on downside yield protection through the effective use of risk management in the company projects. As a frequent speaker on the development process, Mr. Bond guest lectures at the University of Wisconsin and has presented to the London School of Economics. He has spoken at several industry conferences including the Urban Land Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers, Bisnow, the Big Ten Real Estate Forum, and Young Real Estate Professionals, among others. He is an active participant in several professional and trade organizations, including the Urban Land Institute (UDMUC Red Council) and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization (former chapter chair and founder, Chicagoland Chapter), a member of the Metropolitan Planning Council, a former member of the Board of Trustees for the Wisconsin Center for Real Estate and a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and the City Club of Chicago. Mr. Bond is the former chair for real estate acquisition and dispositions for the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago, and a National Council Member of The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).


Robert's personal contribution to his community includes helping at-risk youth make a positive difference as a role model in his ongoing relationship with Chicago's Principal for a Day program. He also acts as a volunteer youth coach and participates in the City of Chicago's Real Men Read Program, and is an active mentor and senior thesis advisor at North Lawndale College Prep School.
